In The Beginning....

On the 50th anniversary of San Francisco's Summer of Love, we're celebrating OUR 50 years of friendship.

In 1967, we began our new lives, away from our local families and friends; at Santa Clara University.

Some of us had experienced San Francisco's Summer of Love, first hand. Others didn't. But the theories or concepts of the Summer of Love suggested: life-skills were best shared; we were here to love each other; one should pursue a path of spiritual awakening; peace was a better alternative then war; and that our country needed to practice racial, gender, and judicial equality...to make America a better place, for everyone.

These concepts were taught to us by Santa Clara's Jesuits and lay-leaders. And, we learned and practiced these life-strategies, with each other, over the last 50 years.
